Mercedes AMG encourages car park burnouts (video)

Mercedes-Benz AMG has released an intriguing collection of merchandise called the AMG Burnout Collection. Coming from a company that banned PerformanceDrive from reviewing its cars, it’s refreshing to see the company does have a sense of humour after all.

Mercedes-Benz AMG Burnout Collection

Mercedes-Benz Australia recently black-flagged PerformanceDrive because it doesn’t like us doing ‘performance tests’ during our review process (accelerating from 0 to 100km/h and timing it). So it no longer lends us vehicles to review.

We don’t get it though. The company is renowned for making hugely powerful twin-turbo V8 vehicles that we all love, but on one hand it doesn’t condone performance tests, however, it does condone car-park burnouts?

Aside from the bipolar brand values, what a great idea for a range of products. They are created in conjunction with Destroy vs. Beauty, and each piece is handcrafted by participates of the AMG Driving Academy.

This is what you call authentic, down to the smell of rubber.
