The special concept will show off a range of accessories that are designed to showcase customisable options for the highly anticipated roadster. As far as we know, it features special edition black BBS wheels and a painted black boot-lid spoiler. Mazda said in a recent statement,

“This year at the Chicago Auto Show, Mazda will reveal a 2016 MX-5 accessories design concept of the company’s iconic roadster, which will preview what may be in store for those looking to personalise their cars.”

Mazda will also use the Chicago Auto Show, starting February 14, to debut a new range of MX-5 accessories and apparel under its Heritage Collection sub-rand. There will be “three apparel collections inspired by key themes of Mazda’s past, present and future”, Mazda says.

With over 949,000 examples of the MX-5 sold since it debuted 26 years ago, it is unquestionably the most successful sports roadster to ever hit the market. The all-new model is expected to go on sale later this year.
