Jeep Australia has introduced a new special edition Grand Cherokee ‘Summit’ to the range, adding unique highlights and lots of standard equipment.

Based on the Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD Overland, the Summit comes with the company’s 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 producing 184kW of power and 570Nm of torque. It offers an average fuel economy rating of 7.5L/100km, and is matched up to the new eight-speed automatic transmission.

With the Overland already being at the top of the range with lots of standard luxuries, the Summit adds even more to it. There’s a full NaturaPlus leather upholstery, suede-like trimmings, and some genuine wood inlays in the dash and door cards. The package also includes a premium harman/kardon 19-speaker surround sound system for enhanced in-car entertainment.

On the outside, the special edition is distinguished via a set of 20-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured wheel arches, a chrome bar in the front end, and a unique rear diffuser section with trapezoid exhaust tips. Summit badges complete the look.

Like the regular Overland, the Summit comes with extensive off-road-ready equipment, including Jeep’s renowned Quadra Lift air suspension with adjustable height settings, as well as an advanced SelecTerrain all-wheel drive response traction control system with various driving modes.
