American tuning house Hennessey has turned some attention to the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, and the results speak for themselves.

Hennessey’s kit, called the HPE575, for the new GT350 is all yours for US$6950 installed, or $4995 if you’re skilled/brave enough to install it yourself.

The HPE575 kit takes the stock 5.2-litre V8 from an already mental 392kW/581Nm, adds a bit of Tabasco and boosts power by 36kW. That brings the total up to 423kW at 7700rpm, and 700Nm throwing you back into your seat at just 4600rpm.

The kit includes a stainless steel mid-pipe exhaust, 1.75-inch stainless steel long-tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, an engine management upgrade, and a chassis calibration on a dyno to make sure the kit won’t separate the engine from the chassis.

Better still, all kits are tested for nearly 200km and come with a three-year/57,000km warranty. While the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 might be selling like hotcakes and has limited production, Hennessey’s kits are just as scarce, with only 100 being launched, each with a unique serial number.

Hennessey, at an extra cost of course, offers custom floor mats, badges, oil filter change and top up with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum synthetic, and, a full tank of petrol, which should almost get you home. Check out the acceleration testing video below.
