Gran Turismo Sport; full 162-car lineup confirmed (video)

Polyphony Digital’s new Gran Turismo Sport game will launch on October 17, and in the lead up to the big event the full list of playable cars have been confirmed.

A special presentation event will take place at Sydney Motorsport Park this Friday to showcase the game (PerformanceDrive will be on attendance), coinciding with the annual Time Attack Challenge. Between now and then PlayStation Plus subscription holders are being offered a demo version of the new game until this Thursday.

To get the fans excited the complete list of 162 cars that will feature in the game have been confirmed, along with a “Vol.1” teaser video. The video shows the game will have amazing graphics and attention to detail as expected, while also outlining the five main vehicle categories that will be on offer.

By the looks of it, race cars are the predominate feature in the latest instalment, with only one production-style class called Group N. These are then split up with numbers relating to the horsepower classification. For example an N1000 vehicle is a Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari LaFerrari, while an N200 is a Peugeot RCZ.

Unfortunately for Aussie can fans there doesn’t seem to be any Australian-made vehicles in the lineup. This might change with potential downloadable car packs and so on. Check out the full list below, and the preview video below that. Stay tuned for our review by the weekend.
