Highlights for the package include GT stripes along the body of the car, some 17-inch STI alloy wheels, an STI bodykit with bespoke spoilers front and rear, and a new rear diffuser.

Inside is also filled with STI bits and pieces, such as an STI start button, short-shift gear lever, and a special STI shift knob for a more sporty drive experience. Nick Senior, Subaru Australia managing director, said,

“This Special Edition represents tremendous value as it combines the recently announced MY15 enhancements, including suspension tweaks, with some fantastic kit that only adds to its outstanding on-road presence and reputation.”

Under the bonnet the same 2.0-litre naturally aspirated boxer engine resides. It produces 147kW of power and 205Nm of torque, linked up to a rear-wheel drive system.

The Subaru BRZ Special Edition will be sold in manual and auto forms, with deliveries commencing in November.

Prices start at $3500 above the normal BRZ price, however, buyers get $9040 in added value for the manual version and $7990 in added value for the auto.

You can get yours from $40,650 drive-away via any Subaru dealer or online at the buyonline Subaru website.
